Q: What is your clinical experience with Sciton’s BBL?

A: I have been using Sciton’s BBL for the past 10 years mostly to treat the face, neck and décolletage and to reduce uneven skin tone caused by pigmentation changes or sun damage; redness and broken blood vessels again caused by lifestyle or sun damage; or treating patients with fair skin who want to remove freckles on the face and body.

Q: What is it about the science behind BBL that particularly interests you?

A: The range of different platforms available and the way in which they are utilised to treat different skin types and conditions. With the technology moving so rapidly, having the option to upgrade the Sciton unit allows for new handpieces and software to be added, while still using the same base unit.

Q: How do you tailor the BBL for different patients?

A: Based on a completed questionnaire and physical assessment, we would select appropriate settings to start the treatment, but then tailor the settings based on a patch test or initial treatment reaction/results and treatment tolerance.

Q: What has the feedback from patients been like?

A: Patient feedback is mostly positive with high satisfaction rates. Our patients appreciate the time we spend with them planning their treatments and discussing their options. The majority return again and again for the same treatment or to explore other treatments available at the clinic.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2266″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”bottom-to-top”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
